OBJECTIVE

To resolve Retail Link* issues at store level Retail link issue is defined as a product that has not sold one unit, in a specific store, in a calendar month.

ACTIONS

Work closely with store contacts to ensure the following

  • All book stocks are aligned
  • All products are on sale
  • All products are supported by SEL and POS were appropriate

RESULTS



  • The following results were achieved over a 3 months period
  • Start of the activity there were 1760 retail link issues across the Asda estate
  • End of the activity there were just 20 retail link issues across the Asda estate
  • A total of 1740 retail link issues were resolved over a 3 month period.

 


Conclusion

No sales over consecutive months can result in drop in distribution or even a permanent delist from the range. The resolution of these Retail Link issues may have prevented reduction of existing ranging within the Asda estate
